Most often, stretch film breakage reports are the result of inaccurate experiments or \u201cquick fixes.\u201d Pallet wrapping machine operators do not have time to check and troubleshoot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Assemble the load<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It is estimated that approximately 30% of all breakages are due to the loading profile. These risks arise from the pallet load that can exert pressure during transport: sharp corners can puncture and tear the wrapping film.<br>Training employees on proper load assembly certainly helps reduce this problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.effe3ti.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Rotax-collaudo-2-web-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"winding machines\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Balancing the tension<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Often the first instinct when film breaks is to lower the tension on the machine or increase the amount of winding used when hand wrapping.<br>Both can be expensive approaches. No company wants to spend more on pallet wrapping. Likewise, reducing the tension of the film simply shifts the problem of possible product damage from an unstable pallet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Use the right equipment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We have seen in another article what they are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.effe3ti.com\/en\/manually-wrapping-is-not-cheap\/\"><strong>the results of hand wrapping.<\/strong><\/a> You can try to work around the problem by minimizing the risks, but equipment sealing problems, incorrect adjustments or component problems represent the 40% of film breakage problems.<br>Make sure your equipment is used properly and serviced regularly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.effe3ti.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/RotaxS3350-scatole-LR-1024x640.jpg\" alt=\"pallet wrapper\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Use the right stretch film<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Not all stretch films are the same and 20% of breakage problems are due to manufacturing defects or the use of unsuitable films.
