Waste, water and energy – opportunities for the Italian green economy
In Italy, most of the infrastructures for the storage and disposal of urban waste and for the integrated management of the water cycle are obsolete. The Italian-German Chamber of Commerce intends to support public and private operators in selecting the best technical solutions so that the country can respect European commitments and implement the concept of circular economy.
The challenge of the European Union is in fact to reduce waste and start a virtuous circle to recycle and reuse precious raw materials. The member states have in fact set themselves the goal of reaching a European recycling average of 45% by 2020.
